Puli is located at the geographic heart of Taiwan； it is a basin with green mountains, located in the central northern area of Nantou County. It was originally a lake, which was later carved into a basin by Mei Stream (Wanwu Stream) and Nangang Stream (Nanhong Stream). It is located in the central hilly areas of Taiwan, with a subtropical humid climate. Temperature does not change drasfically； the winters are not cold while , the summers are not too hot; there is abundant rain, clouds, and fog.
